The first character who patched Issac and turned into a necromorph might be Nathan McNell. About Dead space extraction, it was Gabe Weller, the mercenary and Nathan McNell who had escaped the station which was under the influence of the marker before the first game took event. The 4 members were killed apart from Stross, who is left to do the experiment on what the government believed, the 'key' to the marker. Somehow it also turns them into necromorphs, the mindless monsters. He soon found a corpse, and the test had made a great change. Stores, the doctor who had received the unclassified government command to investigate the marker, has gone mad when doing the experiment and decided to test it with a corpse. One little piece contains the information for the whole. It simply started with the members retrieved the piece of marker left on the planet. In Aftermath, it explains how the infection happened. The story did not simply start with Issac Clarke if you have seen the movies. (Warning, please do not blame me for explaining the story in the wrong way, it's just what I think)
